Second First

I give up.  I said I didn't want my blog to become a gymnastics blog, but what are we to do?  It's what is going on in our lives and these are moments to be remembered.

It was a late night session at a meet held in Vancouver, WA--over two hours away from home.  Why they had the youngest competitors begin at 6:00 pm on a school night is beyond me, but Natalie did great which made the long trip totally worth it.

She did her very best routines and got an all-time personal best all-around score of 35.5!  She placed 1st on vault with a 9.1, 1st on beam with an 8.9, 2nd on bars with an 8.9 and did a great floor routine for an 8.6.

That was enough to land her atop that number one spot on the podium.

Alyssa had the week off but she wanted to accompany us to be a cheerleader for her sister. (Caleb opted to stay home.)

Awards ended around 9:45 pm.  Natalie changed into her footy pajamas and she and Lys slept all the way home.

Way to go, Natty!  We're so proud of you.

Meet videos here.
