Our New Yorker cousins came to town and the kids got straight to bonding over things like matching pajamas and fresh-from-the-oven pizookies.
We're a sports-loving family, so a night at Safeco Field seemed the perfect way to officially kick off our family reunion.
It was a beautiful night with the only bummer being that the Mariner's fell apart in the 7th inning. Oh well, still fun to be at the ballpark.
The next day we made our way to Leavenworth where my parents had rented a wonderful house for our reunion.
Our first item of business was family pictures. I don't have any of the "real" portraits to post but Jon took a few shots from the side while everyone was taking turns posing.

The following morning we did a float trip on the Wenatchee river. It was definitely a reunion highlight! It was so much fun that when we finished, we went again! I'm just sad that we don't have any pictures to document the stunning beauty of the scenery.
All we have is this photo from a couple of days later which shows the kids standing on the corner in front of one of the vans that is loaded with tubes, shuttling some lucky souls to the start of their float.
After dinner, we had a bocce ball tournament. Erin led the Youngstrom team to victory. Jon and I came in second.
The house had a game room with foosball, ping pong and pool. The kids played the night away but I think Grandpa may have played more pool than anyone.
Leavenworth is a Bavarian village that is so unique, fun and unbelievably beautiful. It was the perfect place for a reunion.
Stay tuned for more adventures...
