New Year's Eve Adventures

We started with an early dinner at BJ's.

Then we drove to Bellevue to enjoy some fun music and dancing at Celebration Lane.

Next, we (just Alyssa, Maureen and I) took a walk through Garden D'lights.  It's so pretty.

Then we drove across the floating bridge into Seattle.  We made a visit to Gingerbread Village to see the most incredible edible creations.

Just a few blocks over is one of Caleb's favorite Seattle locations: Gameworks.  The kids played games while Maureen and I walked across the street for some takeout cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.

Finally, we made our way to the Space Needle.

We donned our crowns and waited for the fireworks.

The fog rolled in just as we were getting ready to ring in the new year.  We saw the countdown and the first few big blasts, but after that, the combination of smoke and fog severely obstructed our view.

Still, it was a fun and festive celebration from start to finish.  Welcome, 2014!

How fun! I've always thought it would be cool to go up to Seattle to ring in the New Year.
