A Most Perfect Saturday in Fall

There weren't many pumpkins in the patch--which was the main reason we went--but there sure was a lot of fun.

I was randomly picked from the crowd to be the "lucky" lady to "bless" the pig races with a ceremonial kiss.  I really didn't want to do it but I couldn't let the cheering crowd down.

They gave me a pig nose as souvenir for my services.

We soaked in the warm sunshine and stunning fall colors, then we went to the grocery store to get our pumpkins.

Oh how I wish I could have seen that kiss. Beautiful day for a fun family outing. That really is some "pumpkin patch."

Looks super fun!

I'm sure glad someone had good weather. We had a freak snow storm that cancelled the ward party I'd been planning for a month.

I too wish I could have seen the kiss!

Looks like there is lots more fun things to do on weekends. I saw all of the other activities that you guys did (go karts, food stands, pumpkin launching, etc) but they weren't in operation the day we went. Looks like we'll have to hit it on a weekend next year.

Oink, oink! Lucky day!
